Mike Weed is a financial advisor from Clermont, Florida.

Mike moved out of Florida to play collegiate football at the University of Memphis while studying business administration.

Following his graduation, Mike moved to Nashville to work for Edward Jones in July 2015.

According to his bio on the Edward Jones website, Mike holds an array of certifications including certified financial planner and chartered financial consultant.

His bio also highlights that he shares two dogs with his wife, Rachel, and that he enjoys "working out, playing golf, reading, and traveling."

What did Rachel say about Mike’s proposal?

Rachel Smith and Mike Weed got engaged in June 2020.

Speaking with KSAT, Rachel called her engagement to Mike the "perfect" proposal.

"Our engagement happened in the midst of a pandemic and a movement. But honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

"I think the proposal coming at this time in the world is a testament to our love and the strength of our relationship. He is everything I’d hoped for and more -- even during a period of lockdown due to COVID-19!

"We have experienced true friendship together, the passing of my father and a long distance relationship, among many other life experiences. He is an exceptional man, and I look forward to being on 'lockdown' with him for life!"

She went on to say Mike coordinated with her job to ensure the moment was just right.

"Rande put Mike in touch with Erin, who cleared my work schedule, so the evening could go smoothly. Mike planned everything so thoughtfully. It was perfect!"

When did Rachel Smith and Mike Weed get married?

Rachel Smith and Mike Weed tied the knot on November 20, 2021.

The two started their wedding festivities on November 18, on Mike's birthday, and concluded with an intimate ceremony at the Scarritt Bennett Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Speaking with ET Online, Rachel said: "We had folks come in from 10 different states. It was just so special and everyone really made the effort to come there and be there.

"From coast-to-coast we just have such a support system -- from family and friends and colleagues. Our hearts were overflowing with just joy and love, not only for each other but really for all the folks that were there to support us."

She went on to reveal that her mother walked her down the aisle.

Her father passed in February 2019 and her uncle was to take his spot at the wedding. However, he sadly passed a month before she was meant to get married.

"I think my favorite moment was when we were in the church and 'Here Comes the Bride' starts playing on the organ and my mom and I walk down the aisle," she told the outlet.

"But before we walked down the aisle, we took a beat just to kind of look at the room. Seeing so many faces from different moments of my life collectively in one room for Mike and me took my breath away. I’ve never felt so much love."

The bride honored her father by tying a charm that held a picture of the two around the back of her heel.

Additionally, she tied one of his blue bows on the other heel.
